The Fundació Òpera a Catalunya recently announced its 2024/25 season which includes, among other titles, the revival, in December 2024, of the production of “Tosca” by Giaccomo Puccini that could already be enjoyed in 2021 and “Nabucco” by Giuseppe Verdi. Both productions, which will be directed musically by Sergi Roca and scenically by Carles Ortiz, will feature Luis Cansino as Scarpia and Nabucco, respectively, two of his most emblematic roles. This FOC season is special and emotional. Mirna Lacambra, the legendary Catalan soprano and founder of the entity, leaves her position as Artistic Director after more than 40 years, being replaced by Jordi Torrens.
